Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently engaged with a team tasked to coordinate the upcoming ‘Delhi Shabdotsav’ cultural event at the National Stadium. The event, scheduled for January, will see participation from renowned thinkers, writers, and speakers from around the country. Activities during the festival will include book launches, cultural displays, and a gathering of poets.
CM Gupta, after unveiling the event poster, briefed Art and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra on the event’s agenda and associated promotional efforts. Mishra highlighted that the festival, a joint initiative by the Delhi Government and Suruchi Prakashan, aims to be the largest literary and cultural gathering in the country. The event will span three days and feature various activities such as book releases, cultural performances, and poetry sessions.
Notable personalities like National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Sunil Ambekar, Manmohan Vaidya, and Sachchidanand Joshi are expected to be among the 100 speakers at the festival. Additionally, there will be cultural performances including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Bhajan Sandhya. The festival will also witness the presence of students from nearly 40 universities in the Delhi NCR region.
The festival, branded as ‘Delhi Shabdotsav,’ will be an annual affair under the Ministry of Culture. The inauguration will be done by the Delhi Chief Minister, with the event graced by Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Sharma.
