Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the nine-day Ram Katha event at Bharat Mandapam, contributing her one month’s salary to the World Peace Mission. Renowned spiritual orator Morari Bapu is delivering the Ram Katha, emphasizing values like service and compassion.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of Morari Bapu’s teachings, focusing on service, compassion, and moral values. She praised the event’s role in promoting India’s cultural heritage and the principle of non-violence. Inspired by the event’s charitable initiatives, she dedicated her salary to the World Peace Centre Mission.
Former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, commended the Chief Minister’s gesture, describing it as an inspiring act. He noted the Ram Katha’s dual impact in raising social awareness and spiritual consciousness. Morari Bapu, during the event, emphasized the eternal and universal nature of Sanatan Dharma.
The gathering witnessed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s commitment to cleaning the Yamuna River promptly. The event also saw the presence of dignitaries like Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi. The Ram Katha attracted participants from the US, UK, Canada, and various Indian states.
