Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently launched various development initiatives and surveyed critical public infrastructure projects in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency and Pitampura. She emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure to address water-logging and sewage issues, highlighting the government’s commitment to timely and effective project execution.
Gupta underscored that the government’s focus extends beyond project inaugurations to ensuring the efficient implementation of schemes. Regular inspections are conducted to monitor development projects on a regional basis, aiming to enhance basic infrastructure, public services, and the overall environment for residents. She urged officials to maintain project operations and monitoring to minimize inconveniences, especially during the monsoon season.
During her visit, the Chief Minister assessed the NP Block Dispensary, emphasizing the delivery of quality healthcare services, availability of medicines, and proper medical equipment. Gupta directed health officials to uphold high standards of healthcare provision, emphasizing zero tolerance for any negligence. She also oversaw progress on various ongoing projects, including park beautification, drainage systems, healthcare services, and educational institutions, stressing the importance of timely completion and quality standards.
In Pitampura, Gupta inaugurated the BD-FD Park development and beautification works, along with modern lighting installations. She highlighted the government’s efforts to enhance public parks for safety and convenience, emphasizing their role in environmental conservation and public health. Additionally, she inaugurated projects by the Public Works Department and the Delhi Jal Board to improve rainwater drainage and sewerage systems in Shalimar Bagh, addressing long-standing issues in the area.
The Chief Minister’s inspection extended to the Munak Canal at Singhalpur, where she received updates on water flow, canal maintenance, and cleaning arrangements from Irrigation and Flood Control Department officials. Gupta stressed the importance of conserving canals and water bodies for improved water supply and environmental balance. At the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University Kasturba Campus, she reviewed academic and technical facilities, emphasizing the government’s investment in modern technical education for enhanced employment opportunities aligned with industry needs.
