Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently launched the ‘Vasantotsav 2026’ Bhajan Clubbing event at Ramjas College, University of Delhi. This event was commended for merging devotion, culture, and youthful energy on a single platform. The musical performance by Leela Band created a reverent atmosphere, with the Chief Minister, Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, and other dignitaries joining in the bhajan presentation.
Chief Minister Gupta highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to connect youth with culture and devotion through initiatives like ‘Bhajan Clubbing’. She emphasized the significance of bhajan and kirtan in Indian culture, echoing the Prime Minister’s sentiments. The event is seen as a step towards reconnecting the younger generation with their cultural heritage and spiritual consciousness.
Inspired by PM Modi’s advocacy for Indian culture and youth involvement, Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra mentioned that the Delhi government is organizing a cultural series from February 10 to February 19. This initiative aims to engage the youth with Indian traditions and enhance Delhi’s status as a hub of art and culture.
The upcoming days will witness various musical performances at different colleges in Delhi. Raghav Raja will perform at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College on Wednesday, followed by India Music Collective at ARSD College and Sadho Band at Shaheed Sukhdev College on February 12. Rahasya Band will present at Shyam Lal College on February 13, while Keshavam will perform at PGDAV College. The cultural journey will culminate with a special performance by the SAM Band at Shivaji College on February 19.
