Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, attended an HPV vaccination event at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital to vaccinate 1.6 lakh girl children in the national capital over three months.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer, expressing gratitude for the nationwide drive initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Delhi campaign aims to ensure comprehensive vaccination coverage for girl children in the city.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari praised the Delhi government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services, inaugurating five significant healthcare projects. Prime Minister Modi also launched a nationwide HPV vaccination campaign for girls aged 14 and above from Ajmer, emphasizing the fight against cervical cancer.
The initiative seeks to protect millions of girls from life-threatening cancers by expanding access to the HPV vaccine. The campaign’s focus on women’s health underscores the government’s commitment to preventive healthcare and public health security.
