Delhi Dangal Warriors advanced to the final of the Pro Wrestling League 2026 by defeating Maharashtra Kesari 5–4 in a tense Semi-final 2 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The match showcased intense momentum swings, with Delhi maintaining their composure to set up a title showdown against Haryana Thunders.
Despite the loss, Maharashtra Kesari’s head coach, Anil Mann, commended his team’s performance, acknowledging the closely contested nature of the match and the slim margins that determined the outcome. Mann highlighted how some potential victories for his team turned into defeats due to unfortunate circumstances in the final moments.
Mann emphasized the positive impact of the league on young wrestlers, especially in providing them with the opportunity to compete alongside top-tier athletes. He noted that the league has helped junior players shed any fear or hesitation when facing senior competitors, fostering a more competitive environment.
Delhi initially fell behind as Maharashtra took the lead with wins from key players, but a spirited comeback, spearheaded by Shubham Kaushik’s impressive victory in the 57kg men’s category, turned the tide in Delhi’s favor. Subsequent wins from Anastasiya Alpyeeva and Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar further bolstered Delhi’s position before Turan Bayramov secured the victory in a tense 74kg bout.
In a dramatic finish, Delhi Dangal Warriors sealed a 5–4 triumph before the final match, with Manisha Bhanvala earning the Fighter of the Match title for her standout performance. Despite falling short, Maharashtra Kesari displayed resilience and competitive spirit throughout the match.
