Ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-test scheduled for June 21, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood visited CM Shri School on Pandara Road to review the preparations at the examination center for students and their families. Senior officials from the Education Department and the concerned SDM also accompanied him during the inspection. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has ensured effective arrangements across Delhi to facilitate the smooth conduct of the NEET examination, with an expected 50,000 Delhi students appearing for the test.
Following the inspection, Minister Sood highlighted that special arrangements have been made to accommodate parents who accompany their children to the examination centers from distant areas. At 97 examination centers, air-conditioned and comfortable cooling zones have been set up to provide rest areas for parents and students before the exam. These cooling zones offer seating facilities, clean drinking water, ORS, lime water, and first-aid services to ensure the convenience of all.
Minister Sood emphasized that these cooling zones are open to students who arrive early at the examination centers before the designated reporting time. He mentioned that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is overseeing the preparations personally and has issued necessary directives to all departments. The government has established 97 examination centers in Delhi for the NEET exam, including 69 Government Schools and 28 Kendriya Vidyalayas. Strict security measures have been implemented by the district administration and police around all examination centers to ensure a safe environment.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made in Delhi to address the heat concerns for the NEET examinees and their parents, ensuring a hassle-free experience. This initiative reflects Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta’s compassionate approach towards students and their families. The Education Minister affirmed the government’s commitment to providing a stress-free environment for all candidates and ensuring that parents have access to necessary facilities.
