The Delhi High Court has instructed the removal of social media links associated with the upcoming movie “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” from X, formerly Twitter, and YouTube. The court criticized the film’s producer, Amit Jani, stating that he appeared to be disregarding the law and cautioned against such actions. Jani’s counsel defended the teaser, emphasizing that it did not infringe on Salman Khan’s rights.
The court was informed that the teaser did not feature any deepfake or AI-generated content, and the counsel argued that there was no protection for events or public performances. Salman Khan’s counsel highlighted the legal history of the actor’s cases and expressed concerns that the teaser aimed to incite negativity towards Salman Khan. The film, directed by Bharat S. Shrinet and produced by Amit Jani, is reportedly inspired by Salman Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his alleged rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi.
Salman Khan’s blackbuck poaching case dates back to 1998 when he was accused of illegally hunting two blackbucks during a film shoot near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The movie “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” was introduced through a teaser on July 17, featuring references to ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Sikander.’
