A Delhi Judicial Service officer, serving as the secretary of the District Legal Services Authority in the North-East district, was discovered dead in his Green Park residence in south Delhi. The body of thirty-year-old Aman Kumar Sharma was found hanging in the bathroom, leading to suspicions of suicide. Sharma’s wife, also a judicial officer, is being questioned by the police.

Sharma, the son of Prem Kumar Sharma, resided in Green Park Main. The police were alerted to the incident when Sharma’s brother-in-law, Shivam, called the police control room around 1.45 p.m. The authorities are investigating all angles of the case, although initial observations point towards suicide.

Sharma’s phone records are under scrutiny for any unusual activity, and electronic devices from his office and home have been seized for analysis. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed to determine if anyone was with Sharma before the incident. Statements from neighbors and colleagues are also being taken to understand the possible reasons behind his actions.

Sharma had previously worked as a judicial magistrate and civil judge before joining the judicial services in 2021. He had assumed the role of secretary of the District Legal Services Authority in the North-East district in October 2025 after completing his law studies in 2018.
