Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu has completed self-enumeration for Census 2027 and urged city residents to participate by sharing their census data online. Through a digital-first approach, citizens can directly submit their household details, ensuring accurate counting of every resident, which is crucial for inclusive governance and national development. Sandhu emphasized the importance of citizen involvement in shaping the future of the city and the nation.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also engaged in self-enumeration for Census 2027, specifically the Houselisting and Housing Census, and called on citizens to join this nationally significant effort. Stressing the value of precise data for effective policymaking, Gupta highlighted that accurate information is essential for ensuring that government schemes benefit all individuals in need, fostering comprehensive development for everyone. She encouraged all Delhi residents to actively participate in the self-enumeration process to lay a solid groundwork for the progress of Delhi and India.
In addition to the census activities, Chief Minister Gupta commemorated International Labour Day by attending a Workers’ Felicitation ceremony at Sant Nirankari Mandal in Dhirpur. During the event, she unveiled various initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety, welfare, and long-term prospects of workers, including the distribution of safety kits to 1,000 construction workers. These kits comprised helmets, safety gloves, masks, reflective jackets, and other essential protective gear.
