Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited President Droupadi Murmu to discuss National Capital matters. Sandhu expressed gratitude for the President’s guidance and encouragement during the meeting. He also shared his enjoyment of the spring blooms at Amrit Udyan on the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises.
Sandhu engaged in discussions with officials regarding security, sanitation, and health issues. He emphasized the importance of preparedness and effective coordination in handling these matters. The LG also met with the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Municipal Commissioner during the day to address various concerns.
During his interactions, Sandhu discussed security, law and order, cybercrime, and other emerging issues with the Delhi Police Commissioner. He also focused on civic matters like waste disposal and transparency in licensing and enforcement activities with the MCD Commissioner. Sandhu engaged in talks with Lok Sabha MPs to accelerate development and welfare initiatives in Delhi.
Sandhu recently assumed office as the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, succeeding Vinai Kumar Saxena in a ceremony at Raj Niwas.
