The Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Vikas Kumar, conducted an inspection to assess infrastructure and passenger amenities along the Blue Line corridor. The review included station remodeling, installation of new escalators, and other upgrades to enhance the commuter experience. Stations like Dwarka Sector-14, Rajouri Garden, and Noida City Centre were among those inspected.
Such inspections prioritize public convenience and safety during developmental works, as emphasized by the Managing Director. Quality maintenance, timely execution, and minimal disruption to commuters were key directives given to officials. Night inspections like these are routine to monitor passenger facilities without affecting metro services.
The inspection, which started at midnight from Dwarka Sector-21 station and ended at Noida City Centre at 5 a.m., focused on enhancing infrastructure without inconveniencing passengers. The DMRC’s maintenance and enhancement activities on operational lines are primarily carried out during night hours to avoid service disruptions. Earlier, construction work began at Central Secretariat Metro Station for the Central Vista Corridor project.
