Delhi Minister Pledges Support for Differently-Abled Athletes

Delhi Minister for Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare, Ravinder Indraj Singh, emphasized the state government’s commitment to enhancing facilities and opportunities for ‘Divyang’ athletes. At the Delhi State Para Athletics Meet, Minister Singh highlighted Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s directive to prioritize the welfare of differently-abled individuals. He commended the athletes for their determination, resilience, and role as inspirations to society.

The Minister underscored the significance of sports in fostering self-reliance, self-respect, and empowerment among individuals. He assured full support from the Delhi government to address any neglect faced by Divyang persons and reiterated the government’s dedication to their development. Minister Singh encouraged athletes to excel internationally and assured ongoing government support for their success.

Minister Singh praised the organizers for promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities through the successful event. He motivated the athletes by recognizing their capabilities and performance on par with other athletes, boosting their morale for future competitions.
