Delhi Police apprehended a criminal linked to around 15 cases and seized a stolen scooty, a mobile phone, and an illegal knife from his possession. The arrested individual, identified as Sagar alias Nepali, 29 years old, was taken into custody from Naraina Village, Delhi. This arrest was part of a targeted effort by the West District Police to combat motor vehicle theft and street crimes in the region.

Constable Manish, on patrol near Shaheed Major Rajeev Lal Marg, noticed a suspicious individual riding a grey Honda Activa scooty. When the rider attempted to escape upon seeing the police, Constable Manish chased and caught him. The subsequent search of the accused, Sagar alias Nepali, led to the recovery of an illegal knife and a stolen mobile phone from his possession.

The recovered scooty, with registration number DL-xxx-7531, was reported stolen in a motor vehicle theft case at Subhash Place Police Station. Similarly, the black Realme handset found with the accused was confirmed stolen in a mobile theft case at Hari Nagar Police Station. Following the arrest, legal procedures were completed by Head Constable Sombir, and a case under relevant sections of the Arms Act was filed at Police Station Hari Nagar.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to intending to sell the stolen items at the junk market in Mayapuri. The successful operation was conducted by a team led by Inspector Ashu Girotra, SHO Hari Nagar, with the support of ACP Rajouri Garden Niraj Tokas. This arrest has led to the resolution of three cases, including those related to the Arms Act, motor vehicle theft, and mobile theft at various police stations.
