Delhi Police apprehended two active criminals and a receiver in connection with a theft case, seizing a significant amount of stolen goods, including jewelry, cash, and melted silver. The arrests were made by the crack team of Police Station Bindapur in Dwarka district. Recovered items comprised a 2.433 kg melted silver brick, cash totaling Rs 5,58,054, gold ornaments, silver jewelry, and 198 old Indian and foreign coins.

The case unfolded after an online e-FIR was filed under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at PS Bindapur on April 28, 2026, by complainant Giriraj Prasad. The complainant reported the theft of gold and silver jewelry, along with Rs 73,800 in cash from his residence. A special team, led by Inspector Naresh Sangwan and supervised by ACP Dabri Sanjeev Kumar, swiftly acted on the case.

Following thorough investigations, the police identified a suspect named Akash, who was apprehended on April 29 from Rana Ji Enclave in Najafgarh. Akash revealed his accomplice, Harsh, who was subsequently arrested from his residence. Further searches led to the recovery of additional stolen goods, including jewelry and cash. The accused disclosed that they sold the stolen silver to a jeweler in Karol Bagh for Rs 5.10 lakh.

The arrested individuals, Harsh Prasad, Akash Yadav, and receiver Rajesh Kumar Kataria, have been linked to the theft case and are residents of various areas in Delhi. The recovered items include various pieces of jewelry, coins, and cash, with investigations ongoing under the registered e-FIR at PS Bindapur.
