Over 70 individuals were detained by the Delhi Police following violent protests by CJP activists and their supporters in high-security areas near Parliament Street. The protests resulted in injuries to at least 50 law enforcement officers. The police have initiated multiple FIRs based on CCTV footage and mobile videos capturing the unauthorized and violent demonstrations.

The clashes erupted when supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) attempted to march towards Parliament without permission, breaching barricades and engaging in violent behavior. In response, the Delhi Police used mild force to control the situation and prevent the protestors from advancing towards Parliament. Some protestors and around 50 police personnel sustained injuries during the confrontations.

In a bid to restore calm, the Delhi Police called on CJP activists and their supporters to maintain peace and conduct their demonstrations peacefully. Additional Police Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan emphasized the importance of cooperation with law enforcement to uphold peace and order. Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sachin Sharma, clarified that the CJP had not sought permission for the march towards Parliament.

Ahead of the planned march, several Metro stations were temporarily closed as protestors gathered at Jantar Mantar to join the demonstration. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) closed entry and exit gates at various stations as a precautionary measure in anticipation of the protest march towards Parliament.
