Delhi Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the violence that occurred during the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) “Chalo Sansad” protest. Over 70 individuals have been detained in connection with the clashes, with multiple FIRs being filed based on complaints. The police are looking into whether there was a larger conspiracy behind the unrest.
Many of those detained are not students, despite the protest being linked to alleged irregularities in the NEET examination. The identities, affiliations, and roles of those involved in the violence are under scrutiny. Investigators are exploring if the violence was pre-planned or instigated by organized groups.
Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage, mobile videos, and digital evidence to identify individuals responsible for damaging public property and provoking violence. The role of social media in escalating tensions is a key focus of the investigation. Suspicious social media accounts circulated misleading content before and during the protest.
The investigation is also looking into posts from Pakistan-based social media handles that amplified violence and spread unverified claims. Delhi Police are collaborating with cyber experts to trace the origins of such posts. If any political organization or individual is found to be involved in planning or instigating the violence, legal action will be taken regardless of political affiliation.
The violence erupted when CJP supporters tried to march towards Parliament from Jantar Mantar without permission, breaching barricades and clashing with security personnel.
