Delhi Police successfully reunited 194 individuals, including 45 missing or kidnapped children and 149 adults, with their families in April under ‘Operation Milap’. This initiative has been crucial in locating missing individuals and ensuring their safe return home. Since January, a total of 542 missing persons, including 143 minors and 399 adults, have been traced and reunited with their families in the South-West District.
Prompt and coordinated actions were taken by the police in response to every missing or kidnapped person report. Special teams were deployed immediately for search operations, involving thorough local inquiries, CCTV footage analysis, and distribution of missing individuals’ photos at key locations like auto stands and bus terminals. Enquiries with bus drivers, vendors, and local informers were conducted to track the movements of missing persons.
The South-West District Police’s sustained efforts led to the successful tracing of all 194 individuals in April 2026, ensuring their safe reunion with families. The police stations in various areas recorded significant successes in tracing missing persons, including minors and adults.
