Delhi Lieutenant Governor and DDA Chairperson V.K. Saxena is set to inaugurate the two-day Palaash Mahotsav 2026 at Asita floodplain near ITO. The festival highlights DDA’s commitment to sustainable urban development and the creation of accessible green spaces in the city.
Visitors can enjoy intricate floral arrangements, seasonal plant displays, and interactive green installations featuring ornamental and native species. The event will also include artisan stalls, food courts, cultural performances, workshops, and activities for families, students, and visitors of all ages.
Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra and DDA Vice Chairman N. Saravana Kumar will join the inaugural event. The Palaash festival symbolizes the transition from winter to spring, emphasizing renewal, color, and unity.
The festival was previously inaugurated at Baansera on the Yamuna bank, where the L-G emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility. The event aims to offer practical solutions to Delhi’s environmental challenges and promote a sustainable future for the city.
