Parts of Delhi woke up to dense fog on Saturday morning following rainfall the previous evening, leading to reduced visibility in various areas. Similar weather conditions were observed in Delhi-NCR regions like Delhi Cantt, North Ridge, Ghaziabad, and Noida, where a thin layer of fog enveloped the skyline.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted another round of rainfall for March 23, indicating that the current spell of unstable weather is likely to persist. Despite the expectation of gradually clearing skies, the presence of moisture in the air, coupled with recent showers, has contributed to the formation of early morning fog in the Delhi-NCR region.
Temperatures are anticipated to rise gradually starting from Saturday, with the maximum temperature expected to range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius over the next few days. This suggests a shift towards warmer conditions following a recent cool spell in the region.
Following the rainfall, there has been an improvement in air quality. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is projected to remain in the ‘moderate’ category in the near future, as per the IMD. Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) indicated an overall AQI of 123 on Friday, reflecting relatively better air quality compared to previous days.
