Officials report over 6,000 pilgrims visiting Shri Badrinath Dham daily, with more than 14 lakh devotees having visited Shri Kedarnath Dham so far in the ongoing pilgrimage season. Authorities caution pilgrims to be careful due to road blockages, slippery trekking routes, landslides, and other weather-related challenges in various parts of Uttarakhand.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for hilly regions like Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Pauri Garhwal, warning of heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions. Despite these challenges, arrangements by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee and local administration ensure the pilgrimage’s smooth conduct.
After offering prayers at Shri Badrinath Dham, a devotee shared a positive experience, encouraging others to visit and enjoy the place. Another pilgrim also praised the arrangements made for the Yatra despite the prevailing weather conditions. Officials highlight that over 14 lakh pilgrims have visited Shri Kedarnath Dham, indicating a continuous influx of devotees during the monsoon season.
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra emphasized the need for caution due to the challenging weather conditions, especially during the monsoon. He mentioned health challenges faced by some devotees at high altitudes, urging caution and adherence to safety guidelines. Authorities continue to ensure necessary preparations and arrangements for the safety and convenience of Char Dham Yatra pilgrims.
