Diksha Dagar impressed at the Australian WPGA Championships with a strong start, shooting a 4-under 67 in the first round at the Par-71 Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club. She is currently Tied-8th on the leaderboard, trailing leader Kelsey Macdonald by four shots.
Hitaashee Bakshi also showed promise with a 2-under 69 in her opening round. Meanwhile, Pranavi Urs scored 72 and Vani Kapoor scored 73, facing a challenging start to the tournament and placed at T-68 and T-81, respectively.
Diksha Dagar had a flawless round, starting on the ninth and securing four birdies to finish at 4-under par. Hitaashee Bakshi, aiming for a comeback after a tough stretch, managed to card a 2-under par despite a few setbacks during her round.
Kelsey Macdonald leads the field with a remarkable 7-under 64, setting a new course record. Local favorite Hannah Green closely follows in second place, just one stroke behind the leader, alongside Charlotte Heath of England.
