Director Bharat Krishnamachari, known for the upcoming film ‘Swayambhu,’ revealed the difficulties encountered during the movie’s production. The live-action scenes were filmed in the forests of Maredumilli, near Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, the same location used for ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun. Despite adverse weather conditions, the crew persisted, facing unexpected rains that left some members stranded without essential supplies for nearly a day.
Krishnamachari also discussed the extensive preparation behind ‘Swayambhu,’ including the construction of two large bridges for indoor sets. The film’s universe spans three distinct worlds set across different locations, maintaining a cohesive travel-action-adventure theme. One of the sets, built in Janwada, Hyderabad, required meticulous attention to detail, taking almost 45 days to complete. Additionally, the climax scenes were shot at Annapurna Studios over 70 to 80 days, featuring elaborate indoor sets and the creation of destructible bridges.
Produced by Pixel Studios’ Bhuvan and Shreekar, ‘Swayambhu’ is scheduled for a global release in Summer 2026.
