Ace director Pandiraaj shared that he wrote the story for his highly anticipated film ‘Parimala & Co’, starring Jayaram and Urvasi, as a response to a challenge. During the lockdown, Pandiraaj was inspired by a web series suggested by his assistant director Ashwin, who later directed ‘Couple Friendly’. Intrigued by the idea, Pandiraaj took up the challenge to craft the story within a week.
As the project progressed, Pandiraaj and his team decided to transform the storyline into a dark comedy, adding more depth and humor to the script. Impressed by the script, director Jagan and assistant Divya encouraged Pandiraaj to develop it into a film. ‘Parimala & Co’, Pandiraaj’s 12th directorial venture, is set to be a blend of thriller and comedy.
The film’s narrative will focus on a family, exploring the distinct personalities and challenges faced by each member. Starting in Chennai, the story will unfold in Coimbatore and Palacode. Apart from Jayaram and Urvasi in lead roles, the movie will feature Santhosh Sobhan, Sanchana Krishnamoorthy, Sandy, Ananthika Sanalkumar, Yogi Babu, and director Mysskin in various significant roles.
‘Parimala & Co’ is a joint production by Lyca Productions, Tamilkumaran Productions, and Pandiraaj’s Pasanga Productions.
