Ace director Sukumar, known for the ‘Pushpa’ franchise, was touched by the love shown by Japanese fans through their heartfelt letters. He emphasized that cinema transcends borders, focusing on shared emotions. Sukumar expressed his gratitude on Instagram, acknowledging the profound impact of these gestures on his love for storytelling.

The film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ resonated well in Japan, where it was released as ‘Pushpa Kunrin’ and received a warm reception. Allu Arjun, the lead actor, shared his appreciation for the overwhelming support he received from Japanese fans during his visit for the film’s release. He highlighted the significance of Indian cinema’s global celebration and expressed his gratitude to Japan for the warm reception.

Geek Pictures India, the film’s distributors in Japan, announced the successful entry of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ into the Japanese market. The film, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, narrates the compelling story of Pushpa Raj’s journey to power in the illegal red sandalwood trade.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, a multi-part film produced by Mythri Movie Makers, features Sukumar’s direction and T Series’ music. The second installment was released on December 5, 2024, captivating audiences with its intense storyline and powerful performances.
