Director Vignesh Raja, known for the highly anticipated movie ‘Kara’ starring Dhanush, shared that the film’s original setting in Vellore was switched to Ramanathapuram for authenticity. Exploring political themes in a unique manner, the film uses a ‘down south’ slang to capture the essence of the region.
Vignesh Raja highlighted the organic filmmaking process, emphasizing Dhanush’s spontaneous performances that added a special touch to the movie. He praised the contributions of the cast, especially Mamitha Baiju, whose role plays a pivotal part in the protagonist’s journey.
Describing ‘Kara’ as an unpredictable thriller, Vignesh Raja mentioned the deliberate avoidance of excessive violence to stay true to the storyline. The film, featuring a talented ensemble cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, is set for a global theatrical release on April 30, produced by Vels Film International.
