The DMK has requested criminal action against two individuals, John Arockiasamy and Vishnu Reddy, who are said to be close associates of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. The party has urged the state Director General of Police to file an FIR and investigate their alleged involvement in Cabinet meetings and other confidential government discussions.
R.S. Bharathi, the DMK’s Organisation Secretary, submitted a complaint to the DGP accusing Arockiasamy and Reddy of attending official meetings despite not holding any government position. Bharathi emphasized the seriousness of the situation, calling for an investigation under various laws, including the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and other relevant statutes.
The complaint highlighted concerns about unauthorized access to confidential government information by private individuals and possible violations of public office responsibilities. Bharathi stressed the importance of upholding the confidentiality of Cabinet proceedings and sensitive government matters as mandated by constitutional and legal obligations.
According to the DMK, Arockiasamy and Reddy, identified as associates of the Chief Minister from Andhra Pradesh, were allegedly present at restricted government meetings at the state Secretariat. The party urged the police to probe how these individuals gained entry to such high-level discussions and whether any confidential information was shared with them.
