A domestic help, identified as Jyoti, was arrested by the Police Station Dwarka Sector-23 team for stealing cash and jewelry valued at Rs 30 lakh from a house in Dwarka, Delhi. The stolen items, including 190 grams of gold jewelry, two silver coins worth Rs 4,000, and Rs 18,000 in cash, were recovered from her possession. The complaint was lodged by Amit Lochav, reporting the theft of gold jewelry and cash from his residence by the accused servant, Jyoti.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Dwarka Sector-23 police station. The investigation was led by Head Constable Mukesh (No. 329/DW), with a raiding team formed under the supervision of the SHO, Dwarka Sector-23 police station. The team, including ASI Karamvir, HC Anil Kumar, W/ASI Bhagwati, and Constable Alka, conducted a raid at the suspect’s residence in Village Issapur Kheda, recovering the stolen gold jewelry articles.
The recovered items comprised various gold jewelry pieces, silver coins, and cash, totaling Rs 30 lakh. Jyoti, the accused, who is 38 years old and the wife of Nikka, was arrested in connection with the theft. The recovered property was seized following legal procedures, as stated by the police authorities.
