The highly anticipated Tamil-Telugu historical drama ‘Draupathi 2’ directed by Mohan G will now hit screens on January 23 instead of the previously scheduled January 15 release date. Netaji Productions, the film’s makers, made this decision following a request from theatre owners to delay the release. The film’s producer mentioned that the shift was to coincide with the birthday of National leader Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The producer urged the public and audiences to understand and support this decision graciously. Initially planned as a Pongal release, ‘Draupathi 2’ was rescheduled due to the request from theatre owners. The film, set in the 14th century, revolves around the rule of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III, the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam, and the impact of the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu.
‘Draupathi 2’, produced by Chola Chakravarthy of Netaji Productions and G. M Film Corporation, has generated significant interest among fans. The movie stars Richard Rishi, Rakshana Induchoodan, Natti Natraj, Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, and others, enhancing its historical and dramatic essence. The technical team includes Samrat for Telugu dialogues, Ghibran Vaibodha for music, Philip R. Sundar for cinematography, and Thanika Tony for choreography.
The film’s stunts are choreographed by Action Santosh, editing by Devaraj, and art direction by Kamalnathan. The release of ‘Draupathi 2’ was rescheduled to January 23 from January 15 to align with Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birthday, as per the statement from Netaji Productions.
