In a targeted operation in Delhi’s Baprola area, a drug supplier was apprehended by the Special Staff of Outer District Police, leading to the recovery of a significant amount of ganja. The accused, identified as Altaf Alam, a 20-year-old resident of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, was found in possession of 8.120 kg of ganja.
The operation, initiated on May 14 based on secret information received by SI Vipin of Special Staff, Outer District, aimed to intercept the supplier delivering contraband in the Baprola area. A coordinated police team, under the supervision of ACP Operations Virender Dalal, successfully trapped the suspect with the help of an informer.
Alam, carrying ganja concealed in his bag, was intercepted and arrested on the spot after being positively identified by the informer. Following the seizure of 8.120 kg of ganja, an FIR under the NDPS Act was filed at Ranhola police station, and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the drug supply network.
