Dubbing has commenced for the much-anticipated romantic film ’29 The Film’ directed by Rathna Kumar. The movie stars Vidhu and Preethi Asrani in lead roles. Director Rathna Kumar shared the news on social media with a poster announcing the start of voice acting.
The shooting for ’29’ wrapped up on January 30 this year, as revealed by the director earlier. Rathna Kumar celebrated the completion of shooting by sharing a picture of a cake labeled ‘Shoot Wrap’ and a video of the team crushing a ceremonial pumpkin.
Actress Preethi Asrani’s character in the film was recently disclosed by the makers. She introduced her character, VIJI, through stills shared on her Instagram page. The film garnered attention with its title teaser, showcasing 29-year-old men responding to a question about their identity.
’29 The Film’ is jointly produced by G Squad, owned by director Lokesh Kanakaraj, and Stone Bench Productions, owned by Karthik Subbaraj. Director Rathna Kumar, speaking at the title teaser launch event, shared a personal anecdote related to the number 29.
The film, directed and written by Rathna Kumar, features a cast including Vidhu, Preethi Asrani, Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar. Co-directed by Mathankumar, the movie’s music is composed by Sean Roldan.
Cinematography is handled by Madhesh Manickam, editing by R S Sathish Kumar, and art direction by Shanmugaraja. Praveen Raja is in charge of costumes, while stunts are choreographed by Don Ashok. The film boasts two lyricists, Uma Devi and Bakkiyam Shankar, and two dance choreographers, Sherif M and Leelavathi.
