External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar engaged in discussions with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Manila, emphasizing the growing cooperation between India and Canada. The talks centered on achieving the relationship goals set by Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Mark Carney. Later, Jaishankar met with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, appreciating his insights on regional and global developments.
Currently on a two-day visit to the Philippines for ASEAN framework discussions, Jaishankar also met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. They discussed bilateral ties, Indian seafarers’ safety, the Ukraine conflict, and the Gulf situation. Additionally, Jaishankar held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, focusing on key areas under the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
In another meeting, Jaishankar connected with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, reviewing the outcomes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Australia.
