East Bengal FC and Jamshedpur FC Set for Double-Header in Indian Super League 2025-26

East Bengal FC will face Sporting Club Delhi at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) in Kolkata, while Jamshedpur FC will host Punjab FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur in a double-header on Saturday for Gameweek 2 of the Indian Super League 2025-26. These matches mark the beginning of the weekend fixtures in the new season, with both East Bengal FC and Jamshedpur FC aiming to continue their winning streaks.

In their previous match, East Bengal FC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over NorthEast United FC, with Youssef Ezzejjari scoring twice and Miguel Ferreira adding another goal. The head coach of East Bengal FC, Óscar Bruzón, emphasized the importance of focusing on each game and continuous improvement to achieve desired results in the league.

On the other hand, SC Delhi suffered a 0-2 defeat against Bengaluru FC in their last outing. SC Delhi’s head coach, Tomasz Tchórz, acknowledged the challenge posed by East Bengal FC and expressed the team’s determination to compete at a high level and secure points in the upcoming match.

Jamshedpur FC, coming off a 1-0 victory against Mohammedan Sporting, will face Punjab FC in their next fixture. The head coach of Jamshedpur FC, Owen Coyle, highlighted the need for his team to maintain concentration, be clinical in front of goal, and play with intensity to secure a win against a strong Punjab side.

Punjab FC, led by head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis, are eager to start their season on a positive note and are prepared to face Jamshedpur FC. Both teams are focused on executing their game plans effectively and securing a favorable result in what promises to be an engaging contest.
