East Bengal FC displayed resilience with 10 players, securing an exhilarating 3-3 draw against Bengaluru FC in a standout match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season at the Salt Lake Stadium. Bengaluru FC took the lead first in the 12th minute through Ashique Kuruniyan’s remarkable solo effort, but East Bengal responded swiftly, with Anwar Ali equalizing in the 21st minute from a well-executed corner.

The game took a dramatic turn as East Bengal went down to 10 men after Miguel Ferreira received a red card in the 24th minute following an altercation with Ashique. Despite being a player short, East Bengal continued to press forward. Bengaluru FC capitalized on a goalkeeper error to regain the lead in the 39th minute through Suresh Wangjam, but East Bengal leveled the score again in the 56th minute with a goal from Saul Crespo.

In a see-saw battle, Bengaluru FC surged ahead once more in the 71st minute with a goal from Ryan Williams, seemingly sealing the win. However, in a thrilling climax, substitute Anton Sojberg netted a crucial goal in the 90+7th minute, salvaging a point for East Bengal. With this draw, East Bengal climbs to third place with 15 points from eight matches, closely followed by Bengaluru FC with the same points but from nine games in a tightly contested league table.
