The East District Police apprehended two alleged snatchers in Madhu Vihar after swiftly responding to a PCR call. The suspects were caught following a chain-snatching incident near the BSES Office, opposite Singla Sweets.
This arrest is part of the police’s efforts to combat street crimes like theft and snatching in the area. A dedicated team under the leadership of the Station House Officer of Madhu Vihar and the Assistant Commissioner of Police played a crucial role in apprehending the suspects.
The arrested individuals, Shivam alias Bachkana and Kunal, residents of West Vinod Nagar, confessed to multiple chain-snatching cases in Madhu Vihar and Pandav Nagar. Both accused have a history of criminal activities and are known to be habitual offenders.
Further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in other criminal activities and to identify potential accomplices.
