TV producer Ektaa Kapoor has decided to donate the prize money of Rs. 1,66,000 she earned on the show “Wheel Of Fortune” to actor Rajpal Yadav in a show of support. The decision was made during a promotional appearance on the show hosted by Akshay Kumar, where Ektaa, along with Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal, was promoting their upcoming movie “Bhooth Bangla.”
Rajpal Yadav, who faced legal issues in a cheque bounce case, was accused by Murli Projects Pvt Ltd for defaulting on repayment. He clarified in court that the other party did not seek monetary compensation but wanted him imprisoned. Rajpal argued that he had served his sentence and fulfilled legal obligations, mentioning discrepancies in the claimed film budget.
The film “Bhooth Bangla,” directed by Priyadarshan, features a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, Cape of Good Films, and others, the horror comedy marks Priyadarshan’s second venture in the genre, set for theatrical release on April 10.
