The Election Commission of India has released the draft electoral roll for Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu after completing the Special Intensive Revision. Over 3.01 lakh electors submitted verification forms, with a month-long window now open for claims and objections.
This revision aims to ensure all eligible citizens are included in the electoral rolls while removing ineligible entries transparently. Out of 4,28,036 electors, 70.35% submitted Enumeration Forms by July 3, with various categories identified like deceased electors and those enrolled at multiple places.
Genuine electors not listed in the draft roll can seek inclusion from July 10 to August 9. The draft electoral roll is available at various offices and online platforms for review and correction. The final electoral roll will be published on September 11 as part of the nationwide Special Intensive Revision program.
