Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan took a trip down memory lane to 1994 when she choreographed a dance number for actress Manisha Koirala in the film “1942: A Love Story.” In a throwback photo, Farah is seen teaching Manisha a dance step for the song “Kuch Na Kaho.”
The movie, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, features Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, and Jackie Shroff, along with other notable actors like Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher. “1942: A Love Story” narrates the tale of Naren and Rajjo, whose love is tested by the Indian revolutionary movement.
Inspired by the 1992 Kannada film “Mysore Mallige,” the film’s storyline is based on the work of K. S. Narasimhaswamy from 1942. Notably, this project marked the final film of R. D. Burman, who passed away before its release.
Farah Khan, known for her directorial ventures like “Main Hoon Na” and “Om Shanti Om,” has also made a mark in choreography, having worked on numerous songs for over 80 films. She has even ventured into Telugu, Tamil, and international cinema projects.
