Farmers in Naraingarh, Ambala region, have agreed to provide around 450 acres of land at government-fixed rates for the proposed Industrial Model Township (IMT), advancing Haryana’s industrial expansion plans. This move is expected to boost overall development in the area and enhance the state’s industrial infrastructure. A delegation of farmers, after discussions on land rates with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has consented to the terms, clearing the path for land availability for the IMT project.
The farmers, showing their support, welcomed the Chief Minister with sweets as a gesture of appreciation for their cooperation. Chief Minister Saini expressed gratitude for the farmers’ collaboration, emphasizing that this initiative would stimulate economic growth and create job opportunities in the region. He highlighted the ongoing progress of an IMT in Ambala and noted that establishing a similar facility in Naraingarh would further promote industrial growth.
Chief Minister Saini also mentioned the government’s plans to develop the Ambala region as a modern industrial hub, akin to Gurugram, to provide employment prospects for the youth. Referring to his earlier Budget announcement as Finance Minister, he stated the government’s commitment to setting up 10 IMTs across the state, with projects already underway in various locations like Manesar, Bawal, Rohtak, Faridabad, Sohna, and Kharkhoda. Ambala, known for its mixer industry and medical equipment manufacturing, is poised to strengthen its industrial landscape with the addition of two new IMTs.
The initiation of the Naraingarh IMT reflects the swift implementation of Budget announcements for 2025-26 within a year. Chief Minister Saini highlighted the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with Haryana’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across sectors.
