A female social media influencer is facing accusations of blackmailing a clinic owner in Bengaluru for Rs 1.5 crore. The owner, Karthik Putha, filed a complaint alleging that the influencer befriended him to promote his clinic but later used private videos to extort money.
Karthik claimed that the influencer, Sadhana Shetty, recorded videos of him without consent during their dates. Allegedly, she demanded Rs 1.5 crore from him, threatening to expose the videos to his family if he did not comply.
Despite transferring money and valuables to Sadhana, including Rs 10 lakh and jewelry, the demands reportedly continued. The police have issued a notice to Sadhana and initiated an investigation based on Karthik’s complaint.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections, and Sadhana has denied all allegations during questioning. The case involves accusations of blackmail and extortion, leading to marital discord between Karthik and his wife.
