On a separate occasion on June 15, a mini-bus accident in Wardak province resulted in the death of four travelers, including a child, with four others sustaining injuries. The mishap unfolded in Saydabad district, claiming the lives of four individuals, including a mother, her child, and two other women, while leaving four others wounded, some critically. Another similar accident in Kunar province led to one fatality and injuries to four more individuals.
Tragedy struck on May 30 when a truck carrying Afghan migrants overturned in Laghman province, resulting in the deaths of at least 18 people, including 10 children and five women, with numerous others sustaining injuries. The incident occurred on a highway in Laghman, near the Surkhkanu intersection in Qarghayi district along the main Kabul–Jalalabad highway. The victims, Afghan migrants returning from Pakistan, were en route from Kunar province to Kabul when the vehicle overturned.
In a separate incident on May 3, three commuters lost their lives in a high-speed collision between a passenger vehicle and a truck in Faryab province, northern Afghanistan. The fatal accident took place on the outskirts of Andkhoy district, with all three victims traveling in the high-speed vehicle at the time. Authorities have launched an investigation into the collision.
