The Nalanda district administration and police in Bihar Sharif organized a flag march on Friday evening before the scheduled ‘Bihar Bandh’ to address concerns regarding the alleged NEET paper leak. The march, starting from the Shram Kalyan Kendra grounds, covered major roads, markets, and sensitive areas in the city.
Led by Nalanda District Magistrate Udita Singh and Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni, the flag march aimed to showcase the administration’s readiness for the upcoming bandh. Officials inspected key intersections and sensitive spots, instructing personnel to stay vigilant and respond promptly to any potential disruptions during the protest.
District Magistrate Udita Singh highlighted the extensive security measures implemented district-wide in anticipation of the shutdown. Additional police forces and executive magistrates were deployed at critical points to ensure law and order. She urged residents to maintain peace, avoid spreading unverified information, and uphold communal harmony.
Superintendent of Police Bharat Soni emphasized the right to peaceful protest while warning against any unlawful activities during the bandh. He assured that stringent actions would be taken against those attempting to disrupt public life or damage property. Security arrangements were reinforced across the district to safeguard public safety and ensure normalcy.
Several senior police officers, including Deputy Superintendents of Police and Station House Officers, participated in the flag march. The extensive security measures underscored the administration’s commitment to upholding law and order amidst escalating political activities and protests related to the alleged NEET paper leak, with a clear stance on permitting peaceful demonstrations but firmly addressing any attempts to disturb public peace.
