After Sunrisers Hyderabad ended Rajasthan Royals’ winning streak in IPL 2026 with a convincing 57-run victory, Mitchell McClenaghan praised the debut performances of ‘Fearless Prodigies’ Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge. Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain showcased their talent by collectively taking eight wickets, halting RR’s winning momentum with a 53-run win at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
“This fearless prodigy Sakib Hussain displayed immense talent. He made a significant impact by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the chase, which derailed Rajasthan’s top order and their pursuit of 217,” McClenaghan remarked. Later, he surprised everyone with his skill in bowling slower deliveries, drawing comparisons to Mustafizur Rahman.
Praful Hinge had a remarkable debut, claiming three wickets in his very first over, a feat unprecedented in IPL history. He finished with figures of 4-34 in his four overs. Meanwhile, Hussain, substituting for Travis Head, took 4-24, including the crucial wicket of opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
McClenaghan also commended Praful Hinge, another emerging talent, for his adaptability in changing line and length effectively. Praful’s strategic bowling, including a sharp bumper that dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi and a precise delivery to Dhruv Jurel, showcased his potential. The debutant’s control and precision demonstrated a serious intent, highlighting the promising future of Indian bowling through these two young talents.
