Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has contested Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s statement that no paper leaks occurred during the current government’s nearly three-year tenure. Gehlot criticized the government for allegedly failing to conduct fair investigations into recruitment exam complaints. He highlighted issues such as the NEET-UG exam leak, where concerns were reportedly suppressed until students approached the National Testing Agency. Additionally, Gehlot pointed out various other irregularities, including incidents like the recovery of an exam paper in an unsealed envelope and cheating allegations during recruitment exams.
Gehlot also mentioned the cancellation of the Sub-Inspector exam by the BJP government after opposition, citing instances of police action against protesting candidates. Drawing a comparison between the Congress and BJP governments, Gehlot emphasized the Congress’ strict actions against paper leak activities, leading to numerous arrests and the enactment of stringent laws. He accused the current administration of concealing facts instead of ensuring accountability, contrasting it with the Congress government’s measures against exam malpractices.
The BJP government has not yet responded to Gehlot’s allegations, with the Chief Minister maintaining that no paper leaks occurred under the current government’s leadership.
