Despite acknowledging positive steps in educational reforms and addressing paper leaks, the Cockroach Janta Party emphasized that Pradhan’s resignation remains their primary demand. The party’s stance was reiterated by spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, who emphasized the necessity of Pradhan’s resignation for further progress during talks with the government.
Amid discussions with the government, the Cockroach Janta Party stressed the importance of Pradhan’s resignation, stating that progress on compensation and legal matters was insufficient without addressing the core demand. The party’s spokesperson highlighted the need for accountability, emphasizing that Pradhan must step down due to his direct responsibility for paper leaks and student suicides.
The Union Cabinet recently approved a Draft Bill proposing stricter penalties for paper leaks in competitive exams, including up to 10 years in jail and a maximum fine of Rs 10 crore for organized paper leak activities. These amendments aim to enhance deterrence against cheating and paper leaks in examinations.
