A political controversy has erupted in Bihar, with allegations exchanged between rival parties. Danish Rizwan, an advisor to Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, has accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress Bihar media department head Rajesh Rathore, seeking an FIR against them. Rizwan claimed that an old video of him from 2017 was manipulated using AI technology and shared on social media to tarnish his reputation.
The controversy escalated when the Rashtriya Janata Dal shared the video on social media, suggesting Rizwan was firing shots to criticize the NDA government. Responding, Rizwan clarified that the video was nearly a decade old and had been altered using AI tools. He alleged that the video was intentionally circulated to harm his public image, fueling the political dispute.
Following a formal complaint to the Bhojpur Cyber Police Station, the matter may head towards legal action, adding to the existing political tension in Bihar. The police in Bhojpur have launched an investigation into the alleged AI-manipulated video, focusing on identifying the video editor, circulation details, and motives behind its dissemination on social media.
