Gaganjeet Bhullar secured victory at the IGPL Invitational Chandigarh by coming from four shots behind to claim his fourth win in just six IGPL appearances. Bhullar, shooting a bogey-free 4-under 68, displayed remarkable consistency and precision, finishing at 11-under over three days with just one bogey on the second day.
Varun Parikh finished three strokes behind Bhullar at 7-under, securing the second position, while debutants Sachin Baisoya and Manav Shah tied for third at 7-under. Bhullar expressed his satisfaction with the win, emphasizing his focus during the tournament.
Bhullar, surrounded by friends and fans, expressed his love for the Chandigarh Golf Club, referring to it as his home course. He highlighted his previous successes in the IGPL, having won the first two events last year and adding a third title later on.
Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of the IGPL, praised Bhullar as the best Indian golfer currently, commending his mentorship of younger players. Mundy expressed delight at Bhullar’s victory in the 2026 IGPL season opener, mirroring his success in 2025.
Bhullar, alongside last year’s IGPL Order of Merit champion Pukhraj Singh Gill and Kapil Kumar, emphasized the importance of minimizing mistakes for better scores. Bhullar also acknowledged the rising talents in the IGPL, such as Varun Parikh and Manav Shah, who showcased their skills in the tournament.
