Attending alongside Pichai were other notable figures such as ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta, former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni with his wife Sakshi, and Bollywood personality Farah Khan. The official attendance for the match stood at 90,954 spectators, with South Africa posting 187/7 in their 20 overs, led by David Miller, Dewald Brevis, and Tristan Stubbs. Jasprit Bumrah shone for India with figures of 3-15, while Arshdeep Singh claimed 2-28.
