Google CEO Sundar Pichai was spotted at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super Eights game between India and South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Pichai, along with ICC Chair Jay Shah, watched the match, which was a rematch of the 2024 final. He also participated in the pre-match ceremonies, presenting the T20 World Cup trophy with former India captain Sunil Gavaskar.

Pichai’s presence at the event highlighted Google’s role as an official partner of the tournament, showcasing the increasing collaboration between tech giants and international cricket. Born in Madurai, Pichai later joined former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri during the mid-innings break, discussing his deep-rooted love for cricket and the impact of Gavaskar on his early cricket fandom.

Attending alongside Pichai were other notable figures such as ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta, former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni with his wife Sakshi, and Bollywood personality Farah Khan. The official attendance for the match stood at 90,954 spectators, with South Africa posting 187/7 in their 20 overs, led by David Miller, Dewald Brevis, and Tristan Stubbs. Jasprit Bumrah shone for India with figures of 3-15, while Arshdeep Singh claimed 2-28.
