Google’s Gemini app has achieved a milestone of 950 million monthly active users, with a threefold increase in daily active users over the past year. CEO Sundar Pichai revealed that the app’s rapid growth is attributed to new AI-driven features like Daily Brief and the personalized Gemini Spark assistant, now accessible in the US and various international markets.

Pichai also emphasized the rising popularity of Google’s AI-powered Search experience, noting that AI Mode has exceeded 1 billion monthly active users globally since its wider launch last October. This feature has led to increased search activity, generating billions of clicks to websites weekly.

Furthermore, Google has broadened its AI model range by introducing Gemini 3.6 Flash, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber. The company has already initiated work on Gemini 4, its forthcoming AI model. Pichai disclosed that over 9 million developers create applications monthly using Google’s AI models, with the company’s APIs processing about 22 billion tokens per minute, up from 16 billion in the previous quarter.

With nearly 90% of Fortune 100 companies adopting Gemini Enterprise, Google is experiencing robust enterprise uptake, propelling the expansion of Google Cloud. Cloud revenue surged by 82% year-on-year, and the backlog reached $514 billion, driven by the escalating demand for AI infrastructure and enterprise AI solutions. Alphabet reported a 24% year-on-year revenue growth, with Pichai highlighting how the company’s AI investments are reshaping its operations in Search, YouTube, Cloud, and developer platforms.
